Hello, Thank you for visiting WOMB and welcome to our third issue. This issue is called Skeins & Schisms because 1.) I like those words a lot and 2.) I wanted to evoke the sense of both connections and fissures. This issue, like all the issues, is full of poetry that I love. Perhaps more than the other two issues, the poems in Skeins & Schisms seem enchanted. Each time I return to the issue, I find myself bewitched. I hope that you like the poetry in it as much as I do. In addition to the new issue of WOMB, there is also a new chapbook from Hex Presse. Laura Goldstein's Ice in Intervals is now available at the Hex Presse shop. A few issues of Michalle Gould's Resurrection Party are still available as well. Get them while you still can! I'd also like to mention two recent projects curated by Womb contributors. Elizabeth Treadwell curated the Dim Sum feature over at Delirious Hem, and Jessica Smith curated a gallery of visual poetry by women for the Spring 2008 issue of Phoebe. Lastly, WOMB will be taking a bit of a rest after this issue. I am the sole editor/publisher/designer of the operation, so things over here will get going again when time allows. In the meantime, I plan to catch up with a number of hex presse projects, so check the blog for news about that soon. Happy Reading! xo Michelle
